A piano has fifty-two white keys and thirty-six black keys. It has seven different notes. In Taiwan, we call them: do, re, mi, fa, so, la, si; in other counties they can be called: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.

Some of the most famous classical pianists are Bach, Chopin and Beethoven. Their songs are played on grand pianos when they are performed. Grand pianos make louder and more beautiful sounds. Other kinds of pianos are smaller and more upright. They can make smaller, yet still beautiful sounds.

My favorite piano player is Beethoven. However, Tekla Badarczewska-Baranowska's famous piano song, A Maiden's Prayer, is my favorite piano song.

Many piano players have long fingers. This is helpful because they can play more chords. Whether your fingers are long or short, you still have to practice the piano every day if you want to play well.

In Taiwan, people say the piano is the mother of musical instruments because it is the most difficult. If you can play the piano, then you can learn other musical instruments more easily.

I really like playing the piano and I think it is the best of all musical instruments.
